Kathy Sullivan
Director of Sales & Operations
Kathy’s role as Director of Sales & Operations includes client sales, business development, marketing and event management among other duties. A hospitality professional with more than twenty years experience, Kathy has been responsible for sales management at the Conference Center since 1995. She has enjoyed working with meeting planners in the corporate, government, non-profit and educational sectors in that time.
Prior to joining Boston University, Kathy held sales positions at the Sheraton Tara Hotels. She also worked for the Interstate Hotel Corporation in the Food & Beverage Operations.
An accomplished professional, Kathy received the BU’s Employee Recognition Award in 2005 for her outstanding performance, as well as consistent and stable leadership in cultivating new business relationships. She works continuously to grow the Center’s services and support high quality customer service. Today Kathy is currently working toward her Certified Meeting Planner designation.
Anita Frascatore
Executive Chef
With more than 27 years of experience, Anita has been the Executive Chef for the Boston University Conference Center since 1988. She is responsible for purchasing, menu development, food preparation and staff supervision.
Prior to joining Boston University, Anita held positions at several local gourmet restaurants as well as with the Sheraton Tara Hotels. She has also taught cooking classes at Fulton Montgomery Community College.
Anita graduated with top honors with dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Hotel & Restaurant Management and has participated in various seminars from the Culinary Institute of America. She is pleased to have met and cooked with Julia Child as well as traveled to France with Jacques Pepin to learn French cuisine.
Anita continues to dazzle our staff and customers with her creativity and proudly reflects her Italian heritage with her healthy, light cuisine with vibrant flavors.
Mandie Geoffroy
Facility Services Administrator
Mandie has been with the Boston University Conference Center since 1993. She is responsible for coordinating catering services and conference room schedules for all events at the Center, working closely with meeting planners and all departments to ensure that each event runs smoothly.
As Facility Sales Administrator she is the point of contact for all onsite meeting facilitators and is an integral part to the success of the services that the Center offers.
Mandie completed her Meeting and Event Management Certificate in 2002 and continues her professional education through Boston University seminars.
